Revlon Illuminance™ Serum Tint Review
I have been testing this out and I am thrilled to say, this is a big thumbs up from me! It actually has a lot better coverage than I was expecting from a skin tint, and yet it still looks super natural and flattering. It feels like gorgeous skincare on the skin and feels so comfortable…I love it!
What are the shades and undertones like?
There are 12 shades across cool, neutral and warm skin undertones. The shades are super flexible and will stretch over a range of different skin tones. I love that they have categorised them across different undertones.
What skin type is it good for?
The Illuminance™ Serum Tint is suitable for all skin types. I have combination skin and find it works really well for me. It has a triple hyaluronic acid complex so it will be great for dry and dehydrated skins. I also think it will suit oily skin well as it sets itself nicely and doesn’t feel greasy on the skin.
Do you need to powder it?
I have found that I don’t need to powder this Skin Tint. I think it sets itself really well and I often tend to avoid using powder anyway. I think if you are oily, you may want to use a touch of setting powder to control any shine but I actually think only lightly.
Revlon Illuminance™ Skin Tint vs Colorstay Makeup?
I am also a big fan of the Revlon Colorstay foundation, and it is a really good option when I want an ultra-flawless look that will last all day.
The Skin Tint also has great coverage and is the one to choose if you want an even more natural look with extra skincare benefits. The Colorstay foundations do have Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Acid however, the Skin Tint has added ingredients to tackle hyperpigmentation too.
Is it easy to apply?
I find this Skin Tint really easy to apply. I have used both fingertips and a buffing brush to apply. It blends effortlessly and feels comfortable. It is slightly glowier when applied with fingers I believe.
What is the coverage like?
I think the coverage is really great on this. As I said at the top, it is more pigmented than I expected. I find that it noticeably evens out my skin tone. It covers redness and uneven skin tone, and really smooths out the look of texture too.
This is nice and buildable and it layers really well if you want to build it up to a medium in areas.
What is the finish like?
I love the finish. The Revlon Illuminance™ Skin Tint delivers a very natural looking dewiness that’s super flattering. This reflects light beautifully but has no visible shimmer which is a big bonus.
What is the staying power like?
Again, I have been really impressed with how well this wears. It doesn’t break up at all, and it only creases around the nose after a full day of wear. It’s really good and leaves my skin feeling hydrated all day too.
